Please remember that not all conditions will require that you need to be seen in person by a GP. Our nurses are able to treat a range of minor conditions. When requesting an appointment, our reception staff will ask you for a short description of your condition in order that we can provide you with the most suitable appointment.

Appointments by phone or eConsult can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you do not cancel an appointment in time then the appointment will be wasted. Patients who attend more than 10 minutes after the appointment time will not be seen.

NHS24 is a confidential telephone advice and information service available in Scotland. If you have an urgent medical problem which cannot wait until the surgery reopens, please call NHS24 on 111.
NHS24 also have a service for Textphone users on 18001 08454 242424. When using this service a receptionist will take a note of your details and then you will be put through to a trained nurse who will either offer you advice or arrange for you to be seen by a GP. If you are to be seen by a GP, you will be asked to attend the NHS24 Centre at Kings Cross Health & Community Care Centre in Hospital Street, Dundee.
If you are too ill to attend the centre, a home visit may be arranged.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

If your illness prevents you from attending the surgery, a home visit may be arranged by telephoning 01382 228228. Except in emergencies, please phone before 10am on the day of request if at all possible. The reception staff will ask you some details of your problem as this will allow the doctor to plan the visits and take any necessary equipment along. Please remember to give the full address and telephone number.
Home visits are made at the discretion of the GP and are only for those patients who are unable to attend the surgery.
Home visits will be made by the GP from 10am onwards.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years of age.
